Progress:

Ok. Finally. I've posted 2-3. I had the thing done for over a week but was too lazy to post it. *shot*

Anyways, I have no idea how HG will progress during the summer, as you see, I write it during my spare periods. I'm terrrible for not being able to write anything while I'm distracted at home. For a fact, there's a very fine line between being bored enough to do something like writing or working on some artwork or the such and moving on to turning on the Wii to play something to kill the boredom. VERY fine line. Plus, it probably doesn't help that I just got FF: CC: My Life as a King, which ROCKS, so I'm even more hooked to that than I normally am to a game. That, and Kirby Air Ride.

In any case, I'll at least TRY to write something during the summer so that I don't come back from camping (Oh, yes, we're going camping) or from the cosplay picnic (oh, no, I'm not sewing anything now...) to a mob of impatient people. Meaning mostly Trayvon. Maybe Ru-chan.


Plot Summary:

Kain Vancent can't sleep one night, though during his midnight stroll, he meets a talking cat who dispells a seal on him, which leads to him aquiring unique powers. Of course, he gets to try them out right away on a vicious demon that happens to have followed Cat to the school grounds. Cat then gets the chance to explain to him a bit more about his powers and what they're for.

In any case, it's all quite new to him, and he's still learning about the basics of being a 'Chosen'. At least Zak, a Chosen watching over Kain's hometown of Mairwell, is teaching him the things he needs to know.


Character Info:

Kain Vancent
Age: 15
Info: Kain is the main character (why he's first who's covered? I hope that's why!) of Hell's Gate. He's a friendly and calm individual, though fighting the demons roaming his world is a new thing for him. 'Course, he'll have to get used to it, as his adventure's only begun!!!

"Cat"
Age: Unknown
Info: "Cat" appeared one night when Kain had simply been on a walk and released a seal that had been keeping his powers unusable. Not a whole lot is known about her, though her personality is as mysterious as her background. Oh, and she's called Cat because apparently Kain isn't very creative with his names.

Zak Ouran
Age: 14
Info: Zak is the first other Chosen that Kain's met so far. He acts a like a tough guy, and he is, around those who he doesn't know well, though he's an all-around good guy.

Yay... Finally... I'm posting my journal. XD

Ok, first off, things I got. Let's get it out of the way. In list format, it's easier. On Saturday, I got:
Two wall scrolls (one with Yondaime and Kakashi, the other with Itachi)
Two posters (Sasuke retrieval team minus Naruto, Shippuden outfits, the other was the Deathnote group)
Two cards (Gaara and Sasuke)
Two full-sizes (One with Deidara flying away from Kankurou, the other was even larger, it was Sasuke)
Two boxes of dessert pocky
Volumes 2-5 of Recast~!!! I'm SOOO happy about this, I'm just missing 6 now and I had to look at all the vendors before I could find it. ^^

On Sunday I got:
Another wall scroll (with Sasuke and Itachi, this was for my brother for his birthday)
Another poster (Allen from D. Gray-Man)
A Minato Namikaze plush. -^^-

I know I'm missing something... I don't know what it is, though.

My aunt also got me a 1 gig SD card after Otafest because the one that came with my camera was puny. I had to really cut the photo size to save more than 15 photos on it. Glad I did, though.


As for things we did, on Saturday, my cousin Alex and one of his friends took me. I first went to the video games room, and saw Adam there. -^^- And then I stood around near there for a few minutes before moving on. That day was pretty much dedicated to the vendors. Not a whole lot going on, though I went to the Origami Extravaganza and Japanese 101, both were very fun. Oh, and I met Stephanie and lots of other people there, so I'm really happy that I've made some new friends again this year.


Sunday's when everything happened, though. My cousin Chris came with me today, we went to the games room and signed up for the Naruto tourney. That was fun, but whoever had the left side of the controls had a disadvantage, because you had to reach across your body to use the control stick. Yes, that wasn't that great. But Chris did really well.

Later, I entered the Pokémon tourney. Very fun. Especially since I was running it on low power, and it was 50-under. XD Considering how most of my Pokémon are either around level 30 or above level 60, it's pretty tough to set a good team up. I met Kaylee there (forgive me if I've spelled your name wrong or somehow forgot it and put in a different name). But they really should have put in auto-levels in for the wireless matches as well as Wifi when they made Pearl and Diamond... *sigh* Anyways, I got her down to her last Pokémon, with a couple more on my side still. Accidentally hit Run. Yes. It's true. Anyways, we had to figure out who 'won' the match. We were originally going to declare me the winner, but then I had to go to Battle Chess, and so I gave her the win. Lol.

Battle chess, I was a pawn! XD Ah, well. They put all the Naruto characters as pawns, and I was originally going to play as Deidara, but got myself in a fix, so I sided Sheena from ToS on Sunday to fix that up. I remember that the guy next to me didn't get to move even once for the longest time. But, I got to fight Hidan. I got to 'kill' Hidan. For anyone who saw that fight, how do you think that went? Was papercutting (XD) his head off and throwing it off the board the right move to make? If I knew Scaff-cat was there, I would have gone and given Zelos the dirty work. XD In some form or another lol. After that, though, I got killed, tried to mimic the ToS characters' little flat-on-the-back landing, I think I did that alright, though again, if you saw that, let me know.

I did the video game showoff, that was fairly fun. Got to see a few new games. I, personally, played Starfox Assult, though I would have preffered 64 SOOO over Assult. That was my first time playing Assult. I WAS complimented on my aim, which is from 64. Oh, and I wanted to do my awesome maneuvers. DX And I found that Assult had such a slow pace.... Didn't like that.

We all know how I wanted to play the Battle RPG, right? Well, I didn't get to, unfortunately. My aunt refused to pick me up any later than 8:35. And we all know it runs much later than the official ending time on the schedule. Plus, our team ended getting broken up, so we had to reform it... *sigh* And then I had to leave as well......


Overall, Otafest was AWESOME this year, and I'm really happy. ^_^ Ok. I'm done for now. Though I might upload some more stuff soon. I'm currently working on some Okami fanart, and trying it out to work on it on PSP. And I might upload some of the character art for Hell's Gate, though I doubt it a decent amount. I'm not looking to spoil anyone with that.

Speaking of HG, yes, I know, the next chapter is very late. Missed spares don't help. Neither does the fact that I can't make myself write at home. In any case, expect it soon, and then I have to work on the next chapter... After I think up what's gonna happen... Heh heh... Yay for snippits?

WooHOO!!! Finally, I'm out of the red! All I need to finish up my cosplay is to finish up the sleeves, cut out and sew on the clouds! I'm cosplaying as Deidara at Otafest this weekend, for those of you that don't know.

Only thing, is that fixing up my hair will be a pain. I have to use permanent dye, which'll take a couple months to fade away at all. So, Adam, the next time you see me after Otafest, my hair'll probably still be blonde. XD

Course, I'm in a really good mood by this point, because finishing up the rest of my cloak will be a breeze and only take a couple hours. Plus, that means that I'm really close to being able to do art again! As some of you might have noticed, I haven't been able to upload anything for around a week, save for Hell's Gate, which I work on during lunch and my spares at school. I sometimes do a bit of drawing at lunch instead of writing. But I can't work in art class, because I'm hard at work on the projects I need to finish. And I have no time at home because I'm spending most of my time on my cloak. But now I'll be able to stop and take a breather, and maybe work a little on my pieces for PearlEden and Kankakanka's contest, which I plan on entering. That is, if I have the will to leave Okami alone for a while. ^^'


Oh, yeah, my birthday! It was much fun! I got to work on my cloak for five or six hours (I hate sleeves... >.< They're so weird), but, it was relaxing, so no worries. We had a cake... A real cake! No icecream cake for me, no thank you! It was great, we had my bro and sis' uncle and aunt drop by, as well as my friend Erik. I got a Wii point card, a Naruto uncut box set, a small camera bag, money for Otafest (yay!), Okami (double yay!), and a digital camera (another double yay!). Though I knew some of that was coming... ^^' My bro asked what I wanted, I suggested getting Okami... Uncle John and Auntie Terry asked, and I said, maybe money for Otafest. My dad brought up the camera thing, saying, maybe he shouldn't, because I say I want money for Otafest. XD The Wii points and episodes uncut were a surprise, though, Erik gave me those. I'm quite happy. First birthday in a long time where I've gotten everything I've wanted (and then some!).

Expect me to take tons of photos at Otafest. I'll be posting them up, loads of 'em. My watchers, don't be surprised to be noted of twenty-or-something new deviations. XD

After Otafest, I might get my dad to take me out for some new art supplies... Though I still need to check what's in the art set I got from John and Terry for Christmas. ^^' Still, though, there's plenty I'd love to get. I'd like to be able to use watercolours, but I'm horrible for getting too much water. It's water not-colours when I try. XD I particularily want to try out watercolour pencils, all the results of using them I've seen are wondrous, and I think I might have tried them at some point in the past. Dunno. Maybe it was on some art show I saw. XP In any case, that's probably my top, because I love using pencil crayons, and that'd be even above Crayola's special pencils... What were they called...? Coloursolid or something? I can't really remember. XD I don't really care to remember, either. I'm not big on Crayola. Though I guess I'd use them... Depends what I'm using. XP There are also some special markers I want to try using (I can't remember what these were called either, seen some work with them and asked when I could, though).


Anyways, aside from my ongoing cheerful release of relief and list of things to try out and all that, there's not a whole lot going on. It's just that everything that is going on has a lot of bulk.

Well, with that, ja mata!

Yeah... Before anyone freaks out, I'M FINE!!!! Ok, now then. Walking to school. Get the go to cross the street. Bus driver then turns in front of me, and I get knocked. But I'm fine. FINE!

Got a bit of rub on the heels of my hands, the front of my knees, and my left hip. I have a small scrape on my right knee and my hip's bruised, but it's not bad at all. Though because of that I had to stand around ten minutes and so by the time I got in to school, it was nearly the end of T.A.... Apparently one of my classmates had seen me and already knew of the hit by the bus thing.... Which really surprised me....

Not posting all this because I want any sympathy or pity or the such. I want to laugh this off. But laughing isn't fun without someone else around.... I guess I know that I still can't get by this completely alone... But, really, don't worry too much about me.

And, Adam, I KNOW that YOU'RE going to freak out. Let me emphasize that again. I'm FINE. XP
